He will perform in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary
Nashville, TN--George Strait has announced that he will perform a concert in three Canadian cities for the first time in more than a decade. Strait, who has been overwhelmed with requests from Canadian fans, has decided that the time has come to fulfill those wishes and venture north of the US border. Strait will perform shows in Edmonton, AB at the Skyreach Centre on July 19th and in Calgary, AB at the Pengrowth Saddledome on July 20th. A date in Vancouver, BC has also been set at the Pacific Coliseum on either July 16th or 17th. An exact date for that concert will not be determined until sometime early in December. George Strait has had a legion of Canadian fans for many years and has played a number of shows in western Canada in years past. He will be accompanied on the tour by Capitol records recording artist Dierks Bentley, who just obtained his first #1 record with “What Was I Thinkin”. Tickets for the Edmonton and Calgary shows will go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 28th and will be available through Ticketmaster in Canada.
