George Strait has added four more nominations from the Academy of Country Music to his record setting total of 74, giving him 78. He has won 19 times.

Strait was nominated as a finalist for 'Entertainer of the Year', Male Vocalist of the Year', Song of the Year for 'I Saw God Today' and Video of the Year for 'Troubadour'. The song of the year award is given to both writers and artist.

Strait, who just this week, won a Grammy for his Award winning Album 'Troubadour' has won the ACM Top male Vocalist Award 6 times, the ACM Album of the Year award 3 times, ACM Single of the Year two times and has also won ACM Song of year and ACM Entertainer of the Year. Strait has also won the ACM Tex Ritter Award in 1993 and the ACM Gene Week Award for Special Achievement in 2002. Strait has also been named this year as 'Artist of the Decade'. The award will be given to him during the filimng of a television special paying tribute to him that will be filmed in Las Vegas on April 6th, the day after the ACM Awards show.
